Casual Early Childhood Educator

Shape young minds with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board as a Casual Designated Early Childhood Educator. Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement engaging kindergarten programs in a Catholic school setting.
In this role, you will report directly to the Principal and work alongside educators to promote a vibrant learning environment. A minimum two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators are required. Your expertise should include the Ministry of Education Kindergarten Program guidelines, classroom management strategies, and effective communication with children and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with teachers to design kindergarten programs

• Implement curriculum aligned with Catholic education values

• Manage classroom dynamics and student interactions

• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and practices

• Prepare for stressful and emergency situation handling
Requirements:

• Two years of early learning experience preferred

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate

• Vulnerable Sector check is mandatory

• Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

• Full faith reference package submission mandatory
