Support the Running and Reading Club at Start2
Finish as a mentor working with children in Grades 1-6 in Hamilton, Ontario. Help cultivate their love for reading and active living!
This fulfilling volunteer opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on children's lives each Wednesday from 3:10 to 5:10 pm Catholic Elementary School. You will assist kids aged 6-13 through various engaging activities aimed at boosting their self-esteem and literacy skills. No running expertise is needed; everyone can contribute.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct engaging fitness sessions with children
• Offer one-on-one reading support
• Distribute healthy snacks during program hours
• Participate in and lead literacy-driven games
Requirements:
• Minimum age requirement of 16 years
• Must pass a background check
• Commitment to following volunteer conduct guidelines
• Ability to commute to the program location
