Sessional Instructor Biomedical Materials Course

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is hiring for the Fall 2026 term. This position requires a dynamic instructor to facilitate one lecture, a tutorial, and laboratory experiments focusing on the surface modification of biomaterials. You will follow a pre-developed syllabus and manage course materials via Avenue to Learn while providing academic support for students during office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead weekly lectures and tutorial discussions
• Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments with students
• Develop and administer assessments, including exams
• Utilize Avenue to Learn for course assignments
• Offer office hours for student inquiries
Requirements:
• An M.A.Sc. in Engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience teaching undergraduate courses
• In-depth knowledge of biomedical coatings
• Strong commitment to inclusive teaching practices
• Ability to engage a diverse student body
Contribute to innovative learning at McMaster University by teaching critical engineering concepts.
