Position: Sessional Faculty for Greek Studies
McMaster University is hiring a Sessional Faculty member to teach Intermediate Greek I (GREEK2A03) in Fall 2026. This role invites passionate educators to enrich students' learning experience through language and literature.

This position requires teaching one section of the course at Central Campus, over the term running from late September to early December. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area and demonstrated experience at the university level. Your teaching will involve not only imparting knowledge but also fostering an inclusive classroom environment focused on diverse perspectives and collaborative learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures and guide discussions in GREEK2 A03

• Develop course materials and assess student work

• Encourage student participation and engagement

• Maintain communication regarding course objectives and expectations

• Provide academic support during designated office hours

Requirements:

• PhD in Greek studies or related field

• Proven university teaching experience required

• Strong organizational and teaching skills

• Ability to engage a diverse student body

• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
