Casual Instructor with YMCA HBB

Ignite a passion for learning as a Casual Instructor with the YMCA in Hamilton, Ontario. This part-time role empowers children in grades 1 to 5 through engaging after-school programming.

The YMCA of Hamilton|Burlington|Brantford seeks energetic Casual Instructors to oversee and inspire youth in a community outreach setting. You will create child-centered activities, ensure safety, and provide academic support. This role demands availability for at least three weekdays, with a focus on Fridays and requires flexibility in scheduling based on site needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and engaging after-school programs

• Design individualized activities for various developmental needs

• Support homework for children facing challenges

• Maintain program supplies and oversee inventory

• Attend training for ongoing professional development

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children

• Enrollment in Child and Youth Studies or related field preferred

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid First Aid and CPR-C AED certification

• Reliable transportation to BTB sites
