Position: McMaster University Academic Advisor Role
Join McMaster University as an Academic Advisor, providing crucial support to undergraduate students in the Faculty of Humanities. Deliver informed guidance on academic programs and registration processes.

You will play a key role in helping approximately 2,500 students navigate their educational paths, ensuring compliance with university regulations while fostering a supportive learning environment. A Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in academic advising will enhance your effectiveness. This role requires an understanding of program requirements to help students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on course and program curriculum

• Make independent decisions for program admissions

• Assess student eligibility for graduation

• Facilitate development strategies for at-risk students

• Coordinate recruitment events representing the faculty

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Three years of relevant academic advising experience

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Familiarity with Faculty and University policies

• Competence in handling diverse student needs
