The Student Success Centre (SSC) is seeking two dedicated writing advisors committed to helping McMaster students succeed. This role involves offering one-on-one writing support, facilitating writing circles, and delivering instructional workshops. You will create various materials that enhance learning experiences while promoting academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized academic writing support through one-on-one sessions
• Facilitate small-group learning sessions to encourage peer collaboration
• Deliver engaging workshops on academic writing techniques
• Maintain records related to student interactions and programs
• Assist in the development of instructional materials and resources
Requirements:
• Completed an undergraduate program in a relevant field
• Prior experience in a research or writing environment is beneficial
• PhD students preferred; teaching assistant experience is a plus
• Comfort working with students across various levels
• Strong knowledge of the writing process
