LINC CNC Level 2 – LEAD POSITION

St. Charles Adult & Continuing Education - 10 Month Position (45 Young Street Location)

Reporting to:  Supervisor, CNC

Description:

· To always provide constant supervision of the children and their well-being

· Overlooking the management of daily schedules of other staff

· To meet the expectations outlined in the IRCC-National Linc Requirements and CMAS regulations

· Operate the program in compliance with the CNC Childcare Regulations

· Adhere to the policies and procedures of the program

· Serve as a liaison between center and childcare supervisor on all matters

· Responsible for appropriate documentation and follow-up procedures

· Maintaining an active system of parent/center relationship

· Participating in on-going Professional Development and special events held on behalf of the HWCDSB for the benefits of our students and service providers

· Maintain professional comportment synonymous with that of an employee of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board

· Adhere to the policies and procedures of the program (i.e. confidentiality, behaviour management, serious occurrence, etc.)

· maintaining updates to parent/children’s files

· Conforming to and maintaining all health and safety regulations

· Ensure continuity of curriculum and a high standard of quality care in the centre

· Understand and be aware of settlement issues and the concerns of newcomer children and parents

· Work together as a team member, maintaining a consistent atmosphere of cooperation, harmony, respect and anti-racism.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· E.C.E. Diploma (applicant must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators)

· Current Vulnerable Sector Clearance Check

· Current Immunization

· Standard First Aid and CPR

· Supervisory experience working in a childcare environment

· Knowledgeable of Child Care Early Years Act

Salary:  $30.94 per hour
