Position: Itinerant Educational Assistant for Low Vision
Support students with visual impairments as an Itinerant Educational Assistant at the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. Provide accessibility, curriculum support, and assistive technology across multiple school sites.

In this temporary role, reporting to the Superintendent of Education, you will assist students with blindness or low vision by delivering the Expanded Core Curriculum and promoting vision substitution skills. Your work is vital in ensuring equitable access to educational resources and materials in a Christ-centered learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer direct support services for blind and low vision students

• Deliver Expanded Core Curriculum effectively

• Facilitate the use of assistive technology

• Assist with Individual Education Plans development

• Present innovative teaching strategies in workshops

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant qualification or equivalent

• Foundational skills in Unified English Braille

• Proficiency with assistive technology tools

• Reliable vehicle for site travel
