McMaster University is opening a position for a 0.75 FTE Assistant Professor in the Midwifery Education Program. Successful candidates must be registered midwives, holding at least a master’s degree, and show a commitment to equity and inclusion within the academic environment. Responsibilities will focus on undergraduate teaching and collaborative educational practices without research obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach midwifery courses effectively
• Facilitate student learning and engagement
• Collaborate in program development and improvement
• Support midwifery clinical education
• Uphold principles of equity and diversity in teaching
Requirements:
• Master’s degree or higher in midwifery
• Experience in Ontario midwifery education
• Active practice as a midwife in Ontario
• Commitment to supporting diversity initiatives
• Eligible for registration with the College of Midwives of Ontario
