Ontario Works Trainer

Position: Ontario Works Trainer for City

As the Trainer for Ontario Works, you will report to the Supervisor of Business Supports, designing training programs that enhance employee performance and align with legislative standards. This role requires expertise in adult learning principles and impactful training delivery. You’ll oversee both classroom and e-learning sessions, ensuring that all staff are knowledgeable about eligibility requirements, case management techniques, and departmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver Ontario Works training programs

• Assess training needs of staff and evaluate learning outcomes

• Schedule and facilitate training sessions effectively

• Maintain quality checks on employees' work performance

• Develop and evaluate training materials and assessments

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or related field

• Completed Ontario Works Worker training

• Experience in training and adult learning

• Advanced knowledge of Ontario Works legislation

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and training technologies
