Reporting to the Controls Manager, the Robotics & Controls Specialist will support projects and field services activities including programming and documentation.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesOffline programming of robotic systems comprising of the following elements:
- Device configuration and networking (Ethernet/IP & Profinet)
- On site shop testing of robotic systems
- Troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Off site commissioning of robotic systems
- Service and post-commissioning support
- Documentation for user manuals, process diagrams, and training programs
Coordinate with colleagues, including project management, to achieve project deadlines.
Travel within North America is required.
Qualifications & ExperienceCollege or university degree or diploma in electrical engineering, automation & robotics or similar.
Minimum 3 years of Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio
5000, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 programming experience.
Minimum 3 years of ABB Robotstudio programming experience.
Typing skills, Microsoft Office and some knowledge of MRP Systems necessary.
The job requires some travel comprising 25-50% of your time. Travel will vary depending on many factors; however, we wish to emphasize planned travel during the week and minimize weekends or long-term commitments.
All travel expenses reimbursed at cost.
Phone, Laptop, and all software required to perform your duties will be paid for by the company.
This position includes full benefits after standard 3-month probationary period.
All FT permanent staff are eligible to receive quarterly discretionary payments based on the Company performance.
