Senior Estimator

Lead a team of junior estimators - delegate tasks and review work
Review RFQ documents for risks and opportunities
Develop BOM’s Labour hour estimates and subcontractor scopes and pricing
Liaise with cross-functional departments (engineering, procurement, operations, finance) to develop estimates
Review subcontractor and material quotes for accuracy and completeness (risks and opportunities)
Support operations with change order quotations (as requested)
Develop preliminary project schedules with cross-functional teams (HR, Operations, planning, etc.)
Generate and submit proposals and manage proposal deliverables
Requirements:
Estimating experience in manufacturing and heavy industrial fabrication - marine preferred
Preferred - Demonstrate experience in dry docking projects, steel renewals, machinery installation and overhaul, complex refits
Preferred - Strong understanding of class, PSPC, CCG, and DND requirements
Engineering or technologist degree
Journeyperson background (welding, millwright, pipefitter, electrician)
Technical & Systems Skills
Advanced Excel workforce & cost modelling
Business Central or equivalent ERP systems
AutoCAD or similar engineering software
