Location:
Waterloo, ON (hybrid work arrangements will also be considered). The role reports to the Stream Restoration Team Lead and involves designing, constructing, and monitoring stream restoration projects for a variety of private and public clients.
Responsibilities Plan and carry out stream‑restoration projects, coordinating with project managers, designers, and multidisciplinary team members.
Undertake modeling and design tasks for River Services works, including detailed field studies, geomorphological data collection, post‑construction monitoring, and environmental sampling.
Prepare construction drawings, design briefs, and technical reports; ensure accuracy and quality of written and graphic work.
Communicate project details to regulatory agencies and clients, address stream‑restoration issues, and manage construction administration and observation services.
Manage technical and financial aspects of projects, including preparing/participating in proposals for new opportunities.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum five years of experience in Stream Restoration or Surface Water Resources work.
Registered or eligible to be registered as a P.Eng or P.Geo in Ontario.
Proficient in surveying techniques, design/drafting software (Civil 3D), hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and natural channel design concepts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently under minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to a week for fieldwork under challenging conditions.
Commitment to client service and a proactive organization culture.
Project management experience is a plus.
Pay Transparency: Pay ranges are provided for locations where required. Compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible.
