As a mid-level Environmental Scientist, you'll be key in coordinating and assessing excess soils across major transit projects. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will facilitate soil characterization, manage compliance, and implement strategic reuse and disposal plans.
Your role ensures projects satisfy regulatory standards, contributing to successful delivery in urban settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze environmental reports and identify necessary data
• Oversee soil sampling and characterization fieldwork
• Document Excess Soils Management Plans, including SAP and ESDAR
• Collaborate with contractors to track soil management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar
• Professional designation preferred (P.Geo., P.Eng.)
• 5–8 years of experience in relevant projects
• Familiarity with Ontario regulations on excess soils
• Proven experience in field investigations
