At R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited (Burnside), we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Water/Wastewater Linear Infrastructure team. If you’re passionate about delivering meaningful infrastructure projects that support communities across Southern Ontario and you enjoy building strong client relationships while leading technical teams, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do- Lead project planning, design, approvals, and construction administration for municipal linear infrastructure (water mains, sanitary sewers, force mains).
- Manage client relationships and act as their trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate design teams, direct engineers and technicians, and ensure quality in reports, tender packages, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Support field staff and contract administrators in addressing construction challenges.
- Prepare proposals, project reports, design documents, and permit applications.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
- Collaborate across Burnside offices to deliver successful, client‑focused outcomes.
- A degree in engineering and a P.Eng. license in Ontario.
- 15–20+ years of experience in municipal linear infrastructure design, project management, and client engagement.
- Proven track record of managing projects, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Knowledge of municipal/provincial approval processes and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and strong attention to detail.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Micro Station.
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
- Experience with trenchless construction methods (HDD, microtunneling, horizontal auger boring, etc.).
Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000
