Lead QA Engineer

Position: Lead QA Engineer at Providius
Elevate quality assurance at Providius as a Lead QA Engineer in Hamilton, Ontario. You'll define strategies, build automation, and ensure reliability across our engineering work.

This role is intended for professionals with strong autonomy and the ability to navigate ambiguity. You'll be a pivotal part of our team, taking responsibility for the overall test and quality strategy. This includes developing tools and processes for effective testing and mentoring others as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the quality and testing strategy

• Build and maintain automated test suites for various test types

• Establish performance and load testing for high-throughput systems

• Lead API and contract testing across services

• Develop tooling for data validation and ML model testing

Requirements:

• 5+ years in software quality or test engineering

• Expertise in designing automated test suites

• Experience in performance and load testing

• Strong programming skills in Python or Java

• Effective communicator in team settings
