Job Description
Our Mechanical Engineers are responsible for design of highly complex opto‑mechanical and electromechanical components from concept straight through to production. Although our work is driven by specific objectives, goals and defined boundaries, we execute our work under wide guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
Mechanical design support for new and existing products
Generation of assembly drawings for new and existing products
Support senior engineers on new product design by generating detailed drawings and parts lists
Investigation, analysis and recommendations of improvements for product reliability, performance and cost reductions
Desired Education And Experiences
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Preferred Skills
Skilled in the use of a solid modeling CAD package
A highly motivated self-starter
Mechanical aptitude, good hands‑on skills
Mechanical design and analysis skills
Knowledge of drawing standards and mechanical design standard practice
Strong communication skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
Meets the requirements of the Controlled Goods Registration Program and is eligible for a Canadian government security clearance
This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $77,500 to $89,100
