Drive innovation in product design at Tiercon as a Product Designer in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Harness your CAD skills to support APQP processes and design improvements.
As a Product Designer, you will play a critical role in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. This involves technical documentation, concept creation, and utilizing tools like NX8 and CATIA5 for design modeling. You'll also engage in design reviews and work closely with customers and suppliers, requiring flexibility to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on new product design within APQP frameworks
• Innovate and improve existing products and designs
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and related documentation
• Validate design performance through testing and analysis
• Manage and update Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Requirements:
• Mechanical diploma/degree or extensive equivalent experience
• Proficient in CAD applications, particularly NX and CATIA 5
• Leadership skills in design reviews and FMEA
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Flexibility to travel to various production locations
