Join Burnside's Municipal Transportation Planning team as a Senior Transportation Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will guide the design and construction of transportation projects, focusing on traffic safety, signal optimization, and intelligent transportation systems. Collaborate closely with industry experts, including the Vice President, to enhance our transportation services in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage traffic engineering and planning projects
• Lead safety and signal operations reviews
• Develop and optimize traffic management plans
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Oversee documentation and reporting standards
Requirements:
• Professional Engineer designation in Ontario
• 10+ years in transportation planning
• Proficient in Synchro, Sim Traffic, and Vissim
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Valid Ontario driver's license required
