Job Description
As a Process Engineer at Mondelēz International, you will partner with line leaders to ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets are met. Your role involves coaching line teams, using tools to eliminate losses, troubleshooting line problems, improving systems, and performing statistical process control. You will also lead small‑group activities to build team capabilities and embody continuous improvement principles.
Responsibilities- Deliver safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets on the manufacturing floor.
- Co‑coach line leaders and train team members in continuous improvement, Lean tools, and statistical process control.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve line issues; ownership of responsibilities for equipment and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in daily management routines, monthly and annual loss analysis, and utilize PDCA to track performance.
- Build and maintain capability of core teams (operators, maintenance) in loss eradication and prevention.
- Develop and update process system ownership documents (OPLs, FMEAs, flow sheets, control strategies).
- Lead Kaizen, SMED, and visual control projects to reduce downtime and waste.
- Provide technical support for new product introductions, major capital initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate across operations, maintenance, quality, and safety to drive best‑practice implementation.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, TPM, Six‑Sigma, and modern manufacturing concepts.
- Experience leading and coaching line teams in a union environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of root‑cause analysis, statistical process control, 5‑Whys, Pareto, control charts, and Kaizen.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capable of using tools such as SMED, 5‑S, and other Lean Six‑Sigma methodologies.
- Relevant technical or engineering degree.
- Green Belt or Lean Six‑Sigma certification (SMED, Kaizen, Loss Analysis).
- SAP and advanced PC proficiency.
- Knowledge of AM & PM standards and change‑management processes.
The expected base salary range is $69,800 to $87,250 CAD. Eligible for a highly competitive bonus program.
