Take on a vital role with Aecon as an Infrastructure Procurement Specialist. Ensure the successful execution of subcontract processes for the Hamilton LRT project while fostering collaborative vendor relationships.
In this position, you will be pivotal in coordinating the procurement phases under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Procurement and Subcontract. Your deep understanding of contract negotiations, combined with your organizational skills, will enhance the effectiveness of the project's procurement operations, meeting the high standards Aecon is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage subcontract procurement planning effectively
• Document detailed RFQ proponents lists
• Establish Subcontract filing systems per project standards
• Coordinate with project teams on RFQ preparations
• Conduct evaluations and recommendations on bids
Requirements:
• 5-8 years of experience in procurement or construction
• Knowledge of contract law and negotiation
• Excellent organizational skills under pressure
• Proven ability to communicate effectively
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP systems
