CAD Technician in Water Resource Management

As an Intermediate CAD Technician, you'll join Stantec’s Ontario Environmental Services team.

Your role centers on developing and preparing CAD designs for essential projects like shoreline protection, stormwater management, and municipal drainage. You will interpret engineering sketches, ensuring precise documentation for successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare design packages and CAD drawings for water resources

• Interpret and translate engineering sketches into deliverables

• Develop profiles and plan drawings for hydrotechnical projects

• Create grading and erosion control plans as part of designs

• Collaborate with project teams to meet production needs

Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar

• At least 5 years of experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D

• Familiarity with civil drafting and stormwater projects

• Attention to detail and strong communication skills

• Experience with HEC-RAS mapping is a plus
