This role is best suited for a Manufacturing or Process Engineer with experience supporting automated assembly equipment in a production environment. As our next Process Engineer
- Automated Assembly you’ll be at the forefront of developing, validating, and improving automation processes for advanced manufacturing equipment. Your expertise in process engineering and automation systems will be crucial in driving innovation, improving process capability, and supporting successful equipment launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and validate new automation processes, including feasibility studies and capability analysis.
- Support continuous improvement of installed manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Perform process capability studies, GR&R, and cycle time analysis.
- Debug, run‑off, and implement automation cells in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
- Conduct run‑at‑rate testing and support production validation activities.
- Identify root causes of technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare process engineering documentation (work instructions, parameter sheets, reports).
- Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Evaluate and select outsourced automation equipment and new technologies.
- Create 2D layouts and support process flow development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and generate innovation ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering for automated assembly operations.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (press, vision systems, leak testing, measurement systems, fastening, etc.).
- Experience with process capability analysis and improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with PLC systems, robotics, and automation technologies.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Solid Works.
- Experience in automotive or high‑precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience with robot simulation software.
- Strong exposure to IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
