In this position, you will lead permitting and water management initiatives for metal mines in Ontario. Your extensive experience will guide high-quality approvals while ensuring that junior team members receive valuable mentorship. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and collaborative engagement across multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct environmental permitting for metal mining in Ontario
• Prepare technical documentation and permit applications
• Review project plans for surface water management
• Provide regulatory advice to internal teams and clients
• Mentor junior staff through technical guidance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; postgraduate degree advantageous
• 8–12 years in environmental approvals or consultancy
• Proficient in water quality assessment methodologies
• Strong understanding of applicable mining regulations
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
