Position: Shipboard Weapons Engineering Technician Role
Become a vital part of naval operations as a Weapons Engineering Technician responsible for maintaining weapons and navigation systems on board ships. Engage in planned maintenance and troubleshooting of critical electronic equipment.

This position focuses on corrective and planned maintenance for systems like radar and communication devices. Weapons Engineering Technicians operate specialized diagnostic tools, analyze electronic components, and perform repairs. The unique work environment includes time spent on ships based in Halifax, Nova Scotia or Esquimalt, British Columbia, facing the challenges of sea work and a rotating shift system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance of electronic systems and equipment

• Operate electronic diagnostic tools and test equipment

• Conduct diagnostic analyses to identify faults

• Perform repairs on faulty electronic systems

• Compile maintenance logs and evaluate equipment performance

Requirements:

Minimum education:

Grade 10 or Secondary 4

• Completion of applied math and preferably physics course

• College diploma or Red Seal in a related field preferred

• Experience in maintaining electronic systems

• Willingness to work on board ships
