As our next Engineering Co-op, you'll report to the Product and Process Engineering Supervisor. The Engineering Intern leads the analysis and reporting of important product characteristics on various product lines.

• Actively participate in the development and implementation of processes, part development and equipment selection/installation
• Contribute towards meeting the goals of producing quality parts, on-time and at the lowest possible cost
• Develop and document manufacture of prototype and production components
• Conduct appropriate analysis work to extract meaning from experimentally created datasets and make applicable recommendations
• Communicate with Production, Quality and other Departments on a regular basis to keep them well informed of progress in technological advances
• Provide assistance in the recommendation of modifications to tooling, plant equipment and development of prototypes to permit efficient manufacturing or to meet performance specifications and serviceability requirements
• Act as a technical resource and provide support to the people, processes, products and equipment employed within the area assigned on a day-to-day basis
• Support and participate in team meetings to review and resolve Quality, Service, Operations, Facilities, Human Resources and Health & Safety issues where required
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to Johnson Electric’s policies and procedures

• Third or Fourth Year Engineering student within a Mechanical / Materials / Metallurgical discipline or equivalent
• Must possess strong analytical skills, acute attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people
• High level of motivation, initiative and interest in personal achievement
• Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation

Primarily office environment with equal time spent in manufacturing facilities. Day shift.
