Roadway Designer Ontario

Position: Roadway Designer Role based in Ontario
Impact roadway design projects as an Intermediate Roadway Designer in Ontario. Collaborate with the Transportation team to deliver high-quality designs using top software tools.

As an essential member of the Ontario Transportation team, you'll work on multiple roadway and highway projects in Brampton, Markham, London, or Hamilton. This role involves preparing detailed designs and specifications, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with MTO and Metrolinx standards. You'll also coordinate with various stakeholders and assist in proposal preparation for future projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft preliminary design reports and designs for highway projects

• Review and prepare CADD drawings for standards compliance

• Issue finalized shop drawings and contract specifications

• Mentor junior team members and oversee project compliance

• Coordinate with clients and sub-consultants seamlessly

Requirements:

• 5-7 years in roadway design experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Micro Station, and Open Roads

• Strong background in project management software

• Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations

• Excellent multitasking and communication abilities
