In this senior engineering role, you will oversee all aspects of underground mine planning and execution. Collaborating closely with site teams and contractors, your focus will be on detailed engineering and effective project sequencing. You will enhance operational efficiency and support Kinross' long-term mining strategy through collaboration with technical services and various engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development of mine plans aligning with project objectives
• Coordinate detailed engineering with contractors and teams
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with geology and rock mechanics teams
• Monitor development performance and recommend improvements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mine Engineering
• 5-7 years of underground mine engineering experience
• Proficiency in planning software and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of drill & blast design processes
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
