Leading Industrial Manufacturer | $95,000 Salary | Rotating Days & Nights | RRSP Match + Bonus
Ellos HR Solutions is partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturer in Hamilton to recruit an experienced Controls Engineer or Electrical Technologist with a 442A Industrial Electrician license.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing operation where you'll work with modern automation systems, lead technical improvements, and play a key role in maintaining highly automated production equipment.

What We're Looking For- 442A Industrial Electrician License (Mandatory)
- Electrical Engineering Degree, Electrical Technologist Diploma, or equivalent technical education
- Minimum 6 years of experience working with industrial automation and PLC-controlled equipment
- Strong experience with Allen-Bradley Logix and Siemens S7 PLC platforms
- Experience designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting automated control systems
- Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and electrical distribution systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Self-motivated professional who can manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Design, improve, and maintain electrical control systems supporting automated manufacturing operations
- Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and drive programs to improve equipment reliability and production performance
- Create and update electrical schematics, control documentation, and technical specifications
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Support commissioning activities for new equipment, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies for electrical and control systems
- Verify equipment performance while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to implement automation improvements and optimize manufacturing processes
