Intermediate Electrical Designer / Engineer
Location: Hamilton
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + benefits

They offer a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong mentorship and a clear path for career growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Designer/Engineer looking to further develop their technical skills while gaining exposure to a diverse project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare electrical design drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Support projects from concept through to construction, including design development and tender packages
- Perform calculations including load calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions
- Participate in client meetings and internal design coordination meetings
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist during construction administration phases
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3–6 years of experience within a consulting engineering environment (building design)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and relevant standards
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or institutional projects
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
