Junior Structural Designer

Position: Junior Structural Designer at EXP
Become a key player in building design as a Junior Structural Designer with EXP in Hamilton, ON. Support innovative projects focusing on structural design for residential, commercial, and institutional needs.

EXP seeks a Junior Structural Designer to assist in developing structural designs and analyzing existing structures. This role requires collaboration with senior engineers and participation in design and construction meetings. Contribute your expertise to ongoing projects while learning from a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures

• Analyze and reinforce existing structures as needed

• Collaborate with senior engineers on design projects

• Participate in meetings with architects and consultants

• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with designs

Requirements:

• Degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized institution

• 1-3 years of relevant structural engineering experience

• Familiarity with NBCC, CSA standards, and design software such as Etabs

• Field experience conducting compliance reviews and writing reports

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
