Apply mechanical design and FEA skills as a Tool Design Engineer developing fixtures and tools for Mac Don. Support fabrication and assembly requirements.
This engineering position focuses on designing, improving, and commissioning tools for fabrication, welding, assembly, painting, and material handling. You will create CAD models, drawings, and supporting information meeting Mac Don requirements. The work includes analyzing risks, confirming design capabilities, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed tool designs for cycle time, tolerances, and cost
- Create CAD models, drawings, and supporting engineering information
- Analyze designs using hand calculations and electronic FEA tools
- Assist tool setup instructions, build planning, and commissioning
- Support troubleshooting during tool build and prove out phases
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Eligibility for EGM registration
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Familiarity with CAD, FEA software, and design calculations
- Excellent presentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
Use mechanical engineering, CAD, FEA, and risk assessment expertise to develop capable tooling and fixtures for Mac Don.
