Overview

The Wealth Associate serves as the primary contact for Wealth Connect, providing sound investment advice and personalized support to members with emerging investment portfolios. This role focuses on growing Wealth related assets and revenue through proactive business development and exceptional member service. The Wealth Associate works independently while collaborating closely with the Wealth Connect team and supporting the broader Wealth team to enhance member experience and expand the visibility of First Ontario Investments across branches.

Responsibilities
  • Member Engagement & Financial Advice:
    Build strong relationships with new and existing members through discovery interviews, identifying personal goals, and recommending suitable products tailored to their financial needs.
  • Sales & Business Development:
    Proactively identify opportunities to exceed sales targets, retain existing investment business, and consolidate external assets into First Ontario Investments.
  • Product Advocacy &

    Education:

    Confidently promote First Ontario Investments services and solutions, demonstrating how they improve members' financial well-being.
  • Collaboration & Team Support:
    Work effectively both independently and as part of the Wealth Connect team. Support the broader Wealth team by sharing insights, referring members to appropriate specialists, and contributing to collective goals.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain accurate member records and complete all documentation using systems such as Book of Record, CRM, and planning software, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Member Communication:
    Stay connected with members through various channels (e.g., email, text, video conferencing) to uncover needs and deliver timely, personalized service.
  • Service Excellence:
    Deliver a superior member experience through consistent follow-up, proactive support, and a genuine commitment to member success.
  • Other Duties:
    Uphold health & safety standards and perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education required, a minimum of a college diploma in a relevant field, with a strong foundation in financial services, business, or related disciplines
  • Valid Mutual Funds or Securities License (in good standing)
  • RIS certification (or willingness to pursue)
  • PFP or CFP designation (or willingness to pursue)
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Technologically proficient and adaptable; comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new industry specific platforms
  • Sales oriented with a passion for business development
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mutual fund products and financial industry trends
  • Initiative driven with strong planning and goal setting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • High integrity, trustworthiness, and genuine care for member success
  • Strong understanding of compliance, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements

Salary Range: $59,078 to $81,233 annually.

Compensation for this role reflects a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Those whose experience more closely aligns the role's requirements may be placed higher within the salary range.
