About the Opportunity

- Responsibility over planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities, systems and controls in order to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting in accordance with ASPE and other regulatory requirements
- Interpret financial results to the Executive Team in order to assess business performance and make recommendations for improvement and sound financial strategies
- Work alongside the CFO in leading business planning process including job costing, annual operating plan, annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecast
- Provide corporate financial stewardship to the divisions for the protection of company assets and the implementation of corporate financial policies
- Design and implement systems of measurement to improve performance in areas of margins, forecasting, working capital, and operations
- Oversee treasury and compliance with covenants of the divisions
- Build strong relations with operations, team members, property managers and stakeholders
- Work with the Executive Team to establish and monitor key operating ratios; continually evaluating and improving financial performance
- Implementing best practice internal controls and company policies and procedures
- Provide support to division finance teams to automate and streamline existing financial processes
- Complete any additional projects which may be assigned to meet the needs of the business
- Manage annual audit conducted by third party auditor to ensure timely and on budget completion

About You

- Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) with relevant industry experience
- Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Must be a skilled communicator, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability
- Proven success in analyzing financial information and business operations with positive bottom line impact
- Proven success in leadership roles to lead an existing team
- Highly motivated with a desire to win, relentless in the pursuit of improvement
- Prior experience with construction accounting considered an asset

Salary Range
$115,000 - $125,000 / year
