Your area of focus.
We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead our growing team! This role requires someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that wants to build a business and has the time and work ethic to do so! The Finance Director leads the team and oversees prime and non-prime clients and assists in structuring deals in compliance with lender guidelines and dealership policies, resulting in a seamless transition, prompt funding for the clients and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
What drives your day-to-day?
Coach and mentor team members to develop their skills and progress forwardMeet and excel set sales goals by selling extended products such as protection packages, extended warranties, life and accident/health insurance, and environmental protection packagesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with lenders to secure competitive interest rates, financing programs and approvals for the clients you are working withHave strong working knowledge of all the programs available to each client you are working withExplain and demonstrate financial options to customersDeal directly with lenders and financial institutesPrepare and document any/all documentation for final deliveryHave intimate knowledge of regions KPI’s and ensure you're tracking for successAdhere to a standard of professional ethics and be respectful to customersBe knowledgeable of provincial regulations regarding finance and the fair credit reporting actInteract with appropriate departmentsStructure deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelinesBook out deals accuratelyNever misrepresent equipmentPerform credit interview, prepare credit applicationVerify accuracy of all information on the credit application and submit to lenderMaintain confidentiality of customer informationSell credit insurance and service contractsMaintain good lender relationsMaintain a lender guide of programs currently in use and obtain a working knowledge of themAnalyze credit reports, be able to recognize a conventional deal and turn over accordinglyMaintain dead files for inactive dealsOvercome objections of prospective customersWhat are the must-haves…
3-5 years’ experience in the Automotive businessPrevious Finance Director experience leading and managing a successful teamExcellent understanding of sales, finance and managementExperience and working relationship with financial institutionsProven record for performance with set goalsExcellent oral, written & listening skillsExcellent analytical skills, able to manage multiple priorities under strict timelines and work well in a demanding dynamic environment and meet overall objectivesExcellent judgment and decision-making skills ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the appropriate pathIdentify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performanceEfficient knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and use of the InternetAbility to read, understand and calculate banking figures such as discounts, interest rates, percentages and commission, etc.Prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targetsValid…
