Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

The Controller (18 months) is a senior finance leader responsible for directing all accounting and financial reporting for a $500M manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and plant management to provide accurate cost and inventory reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making. The Controller ensures compliance with GAAP/IFRS, oversees the accounting team, and drives process improvements to scale with the company’s growth.
About the Opportunity
Financial Reporting & Accounting
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial statements.
Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee external audits and relationships with auditors.
Develop accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
Oversee standard costing, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting.
Partner with plant managers and operations leaders to analyze production costs, yield, scrap, and efficiency metrics.
Lead inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and cycle count programs.
Provide financial visibility into product margins and manufacturing KPIs.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
Lead the annual budget and monthly forecasting process in collaboration with operations and supply chain.
Develop dashboards and financial models to support decision-making and profitability analysis.
Monitor working capital (AR, AP, inventory) to optimize cash flow.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage and develop the accounting/finance team, including plant controllers and cost accountants.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
About You
CPA designation required; MBA preferred.
10–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, cost accounting, and internal controls.
Proven experience managing multi-site operations and large teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $100,000/Year
