Job Summary and Requirements
This position is for one (1) full-time permanent positions, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Land Development Branch supports and coordinates land development initiatives in the Yukon. They work with Yukon municipalities, unincorporated communities and First Nations governments to plan, develop and implement land development.
About the Position:The Director, Land Development provides strategic leadership, innovative solutions and business oversight for Yukon’s Land Development program, ensuring the effective planning, delivery, and financial stewardship of land development initiatives across the territory. This role is accountable for managing significant human, financial, and material resources, establishing priorities, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in alignment with government objectives. As a key member of the Community Development Division’s management team, the Director develops strong partnerships with local governments, industry partners, and internal departments to advance development opportunities and support sustainable economic growth.
Success in this role requires strong financial and business acumen, strategic decision-making, political awareness, and the ability to balance competing priorities while delivering results through collaboration, sound governance, innovation and responsible resource management.
