Compensation: $35,360 - $42,515

Position Description :
As a member of Indwell’s Wentworth Program Team, you will promote housing stability and care for our tenants. This is a Residential Care Facility (RCF) that is staffed 24/7 and regulated by the City of Hamilton.

Hours of Work: 24 to 32 hours per week, overnight hours from 11pm-7am, including some public holidays. Working rotating shifts: 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
:

  • Working as part of a team supporting individuals living at the Wentworth Program. These supports may include: medication administration, pest management, and other supports as necessary
  • Thorough cleaning of shared spaces, the office and other areas of the program in accordance with a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule
  • Respond to resident complaints/concerns with care, compassion and efficiency.
  • Maintaining security in the building
  • Keeping a healthy and safe environment
  • Complete required documentation in a thorough and timely manner with a focus on maintaining and protecting resident health records
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Health, Welfare and Safety Practices

  • Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
  • Upholding organizational policy and procedures
  • Using appropriate procedures when responding to emergency situations
  • Complete required safety checks and inspections as assigned.
  • Attending and participating in all required training to maintain and develop new skills
  • Other duties as required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Minimum high school diploma is required
  • TB test as a requirement for a Residential Care Facility
  • Some experience working in a tenant building is an asset
  • Ability to lift, bend, and complete physical tasks
  • A warm, sensitive, and caring approach
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have a genuine interest in supporting people living with mental illness
  • Ability to work independently, have flexibility, be organized, and take initiative
