Join the Yorkton Community Services as a Public Health Inspector from July 2026. Work closely with health professionals while enhancing public health services through inspections.
As a full-time temporary Public Health Inspector, you will play a vital role in planning, delivering, and assessing health inspection services. This position requires collaboration with the Medical Health Officer, and candidates must demonstrate their ability to conduct thorough investigations. Preference is given to current HSAS members under the Collective Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the improvement of public health inspection services
• Investigate and report on public health matters
• Ensure compliance with the Public Health Act
• Act as a Tobacco Enforcement Officer when applicable
• Liaise with the Medical Health Officer for guidance
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• CPHI(C) certification required
• Active membership in CIPHI is preferred
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork
