Position: Business Systems Support

Job Overview

Join as Business Systems Support at Wellington-Altus
. The role will be based out of our Winnipeg or Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Inquiry & Support:
    Address and resolve trade discrepancies or errors, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to identify solutions.
  • Systems Management:
    Update transactional data in the administration system daily to ensure data meets advisor team needs.
  • Facilitate customization changes per branch (basic report configuration, client information fields customization, etc.).
  • Monitor platform performance and trade execution to identify potential issues before clients are impacted.
  • Support system updates and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and functionality.
  • Elevated controls:
    Manage user assignments and support Service Desk with changes requested.
  • Daily Support and Documentation:
    Identify, document, report, and track system issues (related to data and performance). Collaborate with Service Desk when outages occur. Manage escalation of feedback from key users. Provide support for functional questions raised by advisor teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation, process & procedure capture and continual improvement.
  • Reconciliation, Quality Control, and Reporting:
    Collaborate with key departments on reconciliation activities to align data across systems. Generate and present monthly reports around topics such as user engagement, system performance, etc. Ensure all trades and support activities are compliant with company policies, industry standards and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years’ financial services industry experience working in a high growth environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer/client-service facing role.
  • Experience in wealth management or other regulated industry is a strong asset.
  • CSC is considered an asset.
  • CFP is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with MSOffice suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Experience with collaborative workflow tools (JIRA, etc.).
  • Experience with Envestnet/Croesus preferred.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and dependability, adaptability and innovation.
  • Professional communication with stakeholders, positive attitude and dedication to service.
  • Detail oriented, accuracy and quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills, analytical skills and critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational abilities, manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Confidentiality in interactions and communications.
