In this role, you'll lead the Engineering IT team to enhance academic and research missions through reliable and innovative technology. With a strong emphasis on collaboration with Faculty leadership and cross-functional teams, this is an opportunity to drive impactful change. You must possess extensive IT experience and leadership in a complex academic environment for effective problem-solving and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct IT operations, ensuring strategic alignment with academic needs
• Collaborate with Faculty to identify and implement technology solutions
• Oversee project planning, governance, and vendor management
• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity and data protection measures
• Foster a service-oriented culture across IT teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
• 7-10 years of IT experience with a leadership background
• Strong knowledge of IT service management
• Proven ability in managing budgets and cross-functional teams
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Lead transformation in IT, enhancing McMaster's educational impact.
