Position: Application Support for City Emergency Services
Join the City of Hamilton as an Application Support Specialist for Emergency Services, ensuring seamless operation of critical technology platforms. This role emphasizes system performance and data integrity.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Business Applications, this position will run for 18 months. You'll manage technical operations for Emergency Services applications including CAD and Next Generation 911. The role requires collaboration with vendors and business units to enhance functionality and implement critical enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize Emergency Services technology platforms

• Maintain secure access and data integrity through proper configurations

• Lead data management functions, including audits and mass imports

• Drive project implementations and user acceptance testing

• Assist in developing technical standards and governance policies
Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

• 5+ years in IT support and system administration

• Extensive experience with SQL databases and integrations

• Familiarity with ITIL standards

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
