Lead - Fortinet, Palo Alto Firewall; Ontario

Work Location:

Mississauga, ON - Remote

• Install, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and associated security technologies (e.g., Panorama, Global Protect, Wild Fire)
• Design and manage firewall policies, VPNs, and network segmentation
• Monitor and analyze firewall logs and security events for threat detection and response
• Perform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in line with change management procedures
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Collaborate with network and system teams to ensure secure architecture and compliance
• Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for firewall-related issues
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Develop and tune correlation SIEM rules, dashboards, and alerts
• Integrate log sources from servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and applications
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and anomalies
• Collaborate with other IT teams to improve threat detection
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security policies
• Perform regular audits and optimize SIEM performance

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and VPN technologies
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks products and CLI
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and log correlation
• Knowledge of network security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and respond to incidents promptly
• Solid understanding of log management and event correlation
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)

Salary Range: CAD 102,000 to 114,000 yearly with HCL benefits (Medical/dental/RRSP)
