CISO and IT Infrastructure Director

Drive cybersecurity and IT infrastructure excellence as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) & Director at the City of Hamilton. Shape strategies to safeguard critical information assets while leading a skilled team.

Reporting to the CIO, the CISO & Director is entrusted with the enterprise cybersecurity program and infrastructure management. You will establish protective measures for the City’s data center and network across 180 sites. Lead a dedicated team of around 45 professionals to ensure compliance with security regulations and the operational stability of IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement cybersecurity strategies to mitigate risks

• Oversee enterprise technology infrastructure across the City

• Manage security incidents and compliance with policies

• Collaborate on strategic infrastructure initiatives

• Lead IT Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Teams

Requirements:

• University Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 15 years of relevant experience; 10 years in Cybersecurity leadership

• CISSP, CISM, or similar certification preferred

• Knowledgeable in NIST Cybersecurity frameworks

• Experience in strategic security technology planning
