Lead privacy, AI governance, and data protection for HSC in Hamilton, Ontario through a fully on-site information technology role. Translate complex risks into practical safeguards for students, employees, and families.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Integration & Innovation, this Manager embeds privacy within IT operations. You will apply PIPEDA and PHIPA, assess AI and technology vendors, and support responsible innovation across HSC’s PreK–12 school environment. The work combines governance, security collaboration, and community guidance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead HSC’s privacy and data protection program
- Maintain ROPAs and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments
- Assess vendor privacy and security practices
- Develop responsible AI frameworks and safeguards
- Support incident response and continuity planning
- Degree or diploma in information technology or related field
- Privacy management training or professional experience
- Experience with system design, access controls, and data flows
- Knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and PHIPA
- Understanding of AI privacy, security, and responsible use
