Position Summary

As a Supply Chain Operations Coordinator, you will have hands‑on experience supporting the supply chain and logistics operations of a cell and gene therapy (CGT) manufacturing environment. This role is a key contributor to a high‑performing Supply Chain team, executing day‑to‑day procurement, planning, and logistics activities in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). The position is based at Omnia Bio’s Hamilton, Ontario facility, supporting both domestic and international material flows critical to manufacturing operations.

The primary function of this role is to coordinate material movement, purchasing activities, supplier interactions, and system data accuracy to ensure timely availability of materials, effective logistics execution, and reliable support of Omnia Bio’s clinical and commercial CGT manufacturing programs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all supply chain activities in accordance with Omnia Bio SOPs, GMP requirements, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of critical materials, samples, and final products in accordance with required timelines and temperature conditions.
  • Support domestic and international shipments by working with customs brokers and logistics partners.
  • Maintain required documentation for cross‑border shipments, trade compliance, and customs clearance.
  • Assist with shipment tracking, temperature monitoring, and delivery confirmation.
  • Help track carrier and performance metrics and communicate issues or trends.
  • Support development and maintenance of basic material, consumable, and reagent forecasting tools.
  • Assist in monitoring safety stock levels and reorder points and flag exceptions or risks.
  • Assist with execution of approved strategic sourcing activities for goods and services.
  • Support vendor onboarding, maintenance of approved supplier lists, and vendor setup in SAP and procurement platforms.
  • Prepare, issue, and amend purchasing documents including purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Help generate purchase requisitions and ensure timely handoff to Procurement.
  • Support maintenance and accuracy of BOMs and recipes in ERP systems by coordinating updates and approvals.
  • Perform other duties as required to support supply chain operations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, procurement, warehouse, or manufacturing operations role.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or similar GMP/GDP‑controlled setting) is preferred.
  • Experience supporting domestic and/or international shipments, including interaction with couriers, freight forwarders, or customs brokers, is an asset.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
