Maintenance Worker to join our Parkland Ancaster team based in Ancaster, Ontario.

Performs general maintenance duties and scheduled preventive maintenance work on physical facilities, equipment and grounds.Performs general repair work on structures and equipment (responds to maintenance requests).Assembles, moves, delivers, sets up and picks up furniture and equipment.Performs general repair work on structures, patches & paints any damaged walls;Assists the Plant, Building & Safety Manager in the inspection of buildings, grounds and equipment; carries out preventive maintenance program actions;Accesses PM Worx program for Preventive Maintenance schedules and to process work orders;Requests necessary materials, supplies, parts and tools required and maintains control of storage and use.Performs and documents internal and external inspections and audits.Accesses PM Worx program for Preventive Maintenance schedules and processes work orders through the same program.Participates in emergency (disaster) plan and mock disaster exercises.Works in conjunction with Shannex fire and safety policies to help train staff in fire safety techniques; schedules fire drills and evaluates performance effectiveness.Takes every precaution that is reasonable in the circumstances to ensure the health and safety of employees, residents and all others in the workplace.Additional duties as required.About You

A High School Diploma or completion of equivalent education1-2 years’ experience in construction or building maintenanceKnowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislationAdvanced Proficiency in English required, other languages considered an assetCertification in Carpentry, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Plumbing or Electrical trades considered an asset.Knowledge of blueprint reading considered an asset.You can provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screeningA passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.About Us
