Afternoon Shredder Cleaner at AIM

Join the innovative team at American Iron & Metal as an Afternoon Shredder Cleaner. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and optimizing equipment efficiency in a safe and rewarding environment.

As a Shredder Cleaner, you'll work Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Your responsibilities include cleaning shredding equipment and following safety protocols. You'll ensure optimal performance by removing contaminants, supporting safety practices, and maintaining a tidy workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain shredding equipment and conveyor systems

• Remove dirt and non-metallic objects from the shredder

• Follow all safety guidelines using personal protective equipment

• Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures for safety

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shredder area

Requirements:

• Previous industrial cleaning or maintenance experience preferred

• Physical stamina for lifting and bending tasks

• Strong attention to detail in contaminant removal

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Good communication skills with team members
