American Iron & Metal is hiring a Shredder Cleaner for the afternoon shift. This role emphasizes detail-oriented cleaning practices to ensure the efficient operation of shredding equipment.
As a Shredder Cleaner, you will work from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, cleaning and maintaining the shredders, conveyor systems, and surrounding areas. This position is crucial for preventing contamination and supporting overall safety protocols in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain cleanliness of shredding equipment and screens
• Remove unwanted non-metallic objects and dirt
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures
• Organize debris removal and housekeeping tasks
Requirements:
• Previous experience in industrial cleanup desired
• Good physical condition for standing and lifting tasks
• Keen attention to detail for effective contaminant removal
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively
• Effective communication with supervisors and team members
